Citrus and Bentonite Clay Face Mask Project

No reviews yet

My skin care routine is pretty basic, but it’s time to “face” the facts — my skin needs some pampering. With winter and the cold temperatures, my face is dry and ready for some rejuvenation. This clay mask is great for removing impurities and toxins, while also leaving skin feeling supple and replenished.

Citrus and Bentonite Clay Face Mask Project Directions:

Pour 1/4 cup Bentonite Clay into a glass bowl and blend with 10-15 drops of grapefruit essential oil and 10-15 drops of tea tree essential oil. Stir until there are no longer any clumps of wet clay. Store in glass jar.

To decorate, glue artist paper to the outside of the jar, and wrap a length of twine around the middle of the jar.

For use as a face mask, mix 1 tablespoon of clay mixture with 1 tablespoon of water and blend until it forms a paste. Apply mask in a thin layer to your face and neck. The mask should be allowed to rest for approximately 20 minutes, less if you have sensitive skin.

Fun Facts:

Tea tree essential oil is a natural disinfectant, which can help kill bacteria on your skin that can cause acne.

Tea tree essential oil can also diminish and neutralize the scar marks and spots of acne, as well as speeding up the healing process.

Grapefruit essential oil creates beautiful glowing skin by helping with excessive oiliness, dryness, and blemishes. It can also help combat the signs of premature skin aging, and it can boost the immune defenses of the body to resist bacterial, fungal, and viral infections.

Adding water to Bentonite clay gives it a negative electrical charge, which in turn, removes toxins from the body. It is great for detoxing and clarifying your skin, leaving it fresh and vital! Activated Bentonite clay also assists the body in regenerating skin tissue.
