In 1994, Kellene Giloff, Founder and President, realized there was a need for a full-color magazine dedicated to inspiring artwork for rubber stamp artists. The Stampers' Sampler was born with a mere 20 pages of artwork submitted by stampers throughout the world. Realizing a need for more advanced artwork that encompassed mixed-media with stamping, Giloff created Somerset Studio, a publication that revolutionized the industry and quickly became the flagship magazine for the company. From there, the company continued to spin off a variety of periodicals that quickly broadened their market.
Stampington & Company's philosophy of directing publications towards niche, enthusiast markets has allowed them to create a variety of unique titles featuring some of the top designers and artists in their fields. Somerset Studio itself has spun off 12 artful living, scrapbooking, art journaling, home décor, and digital art.
