Shabby Chic Art Supplies Caddy
Our newest Chai Rack is bigger and better than ever. With six glasses cradled in a wire frame, there’s even more space to hold all of your special little treasures! Armed with this new chai rack and with lots of spare odds-and-ends, I decided to create a stylish art supply caddy with a vintage look. I looked for embellishments that were cream-colored and slightly worn-looking to really accentuate the era-inspired look I was going for. The result is this shabby chic art caddy that will brighten up any creative space.
Shabby Chic Art Supply Caddy Tutorial:
Embellishing this caddy couldn’t be easier — first, use a hot glue gun to adhere some Handmade by Somerset Ivory Ruffled Ribbons to each glass. I used the ruffled ribbon from our collection because its hand-sewn in our workshop, and it adds a charming homemade feel to the project.
Next, glue some vintage ephemera to the handle; I went with vintage sheets of music.
Finally, stick some Teeny Alpha stickers onto a Grubby Metal Rim Tag and attach it to the handle.
Now all that’s left is filling up your new art caddy with all of your favorite crafting supplies, including artist markers, washi tapes, embellishments, or anything else you can think of.
