Good Things That Happened Journal Project by Roben-Marie Smith

UPC:

Looking for a creative way to remember all the good things that happened to you during the year? This little journal features monthly pockets for collecting notes about all those good things so you can go back and read all of them at the end of the year!

Use the Gel Printing Plate and a brayer along with a variety of acrylic paint, stencils, and Punchinella to create backgrounds on all pages of the Canvas Stitched Book - 6 x 6 and a few scraps of paper. I used text papers from an old book.

Print the months and a title for your book onto paper and trim. Glue pieces of scrap paper to twelve grubby tags, stitch pieces of fabric to each tag and then stitch the months to each tag. Be sure to change the direction of the tags based on how they will be placed into your journal. I positioned my tags so all the strings hang out.

Place the tags onto your pages one at a time and stitch across the bottom and sides, creating a pocket. Stitch another tag on the back of each page so that they line up with the tags on the preceding page.

Overlap two tags on the vertical and glue together. Adhere scrap paper, word title and fabric and stitch the tags to the journal's cover.

  • 8 x 10 Gel Printing Plate
  • Acrylic Paint
  • Punchinella
  • Canvas Stitched Book - 6 x 6
  • Grubby Tags Large
  • Fabric scraps
  • Printed months and words
