Back To School Books Project
Covering composition books has made me a little bit nostalgic and brought back memories of my school days and needing to get everything ready – with my personal style of course – for the school year. I thought this would be a fun project that people of any age group could try and use as a teacher’s gift, or for your kids. The Shoppe at Somerset has some great back to school-themed products to inspire your own stylish take on book covering.
Simply cut down some decorative wrap and chalkboard paper to the size of your notebook or textbooks that you need covered. Using a strong adhesive (I prefer a strong double-sided tape) glue the paper down on the front and back cover, then fold in the edges, and glue them to the insides of the cover. To neaten up the inside covers, just cut a piece of the same paper used on the outside to size and glue it to the inside of the covers.
If you want the covers to be a little more durable, try using contact paper over the covers. Bundle your books together with a few of your favorite back to school supplies for a fun back to school gift.
