Alterable Art Journal Board Project
What’s special about this project is that it is reusable! If you journal on strips of removable paper tape, you can peel off your goals once they are complete, and create a new list.
Using ideas and inspiration from Art Journal Workshop, I created a list of a few things I want to do this summer. I’m not much of a journaler so instead of working in a book, I put a unique twist on this journal-inspired project by creating something that can be artfully display out in the open to motivate me every day to reach my goals.
Instructions for Alterable Art Journal Board Project
Start by painting a plain clipboard with blue acrylic paint. Once the blue coat has dried, use a large foam brush to paint and distress over the blue with raspberry or magenta acrylic paint. After the purple has dried, paint five long lines horizontally and one small line at the top center with white acrylic paint. When the white paint has dried, you can begin stamping the numbers!
Using StazOn ink, an acrylic block, and 7gypsies stamps Numero and Label It, stamp the shapes and numbers onto the left side of each of the five lines. Journal your goals onto a piece of light yellow paper tape then adhere the journaling tape to each of the lines. Write the month or year on a piece of peach colored paper tape and attach it to the white line that is at the top center of the clipboard.
Alter the clip by covering it with the measuring paper tape and then paint over it with watered-down purple paint. Attach a piece of honeydew scrappers floss to the clip and a piece of midnight scrappers floss toward the bottom of the board.
