DIY Spa Kit Project
Who doesn’t love to indulge and pamper themselves every now and then? This DIY Spa Kit is the perfect gift idea for your mom, sister, or best friend.
The original thought was to fill a cute jar with herbs, flowers, and salts and gift the jar by itself. But instead of just gifting the cute jar, I figured, why not elevate the original plan by packaging the excess herbs, flowers, and salts for her to use later?
The end result was this perfectly bundled DIY spa kit.
DIY Spa Kit Project Directions:
Fill glass jar with salt and herbs of your choice, such as rose buds, chamomile flowers, Dead Sea salt, Pink Himalayan salt, and Epsom salt. Wrap jar with green jute to coordinate with the rest of the bundle.
Stamp Safflower Script Wood Mounted Stamp by Christine Adolph image onto tub tea filters. Use a permanent black ink to avoid bleeding when using the tub tea filters.
Fill each tub tea with herbs and flowers such as lavender and chamomile. Fold over the tops of each, punch each with two holes and string with green jute.
Stamp initial representing each herb onto a small grubby tag, and string corresponding tags through the holes and tie closed.
Fill glass tubes with salts such as Dead Sea salt and Pink Himalayan salt. Stamp “s” onto grubby tag to represent salt. Tie glass tubes together with white jute, and attach the tag to the front.
Use either a plastic soap mold or tart tins, and this recipe to create handmade soap. Wrap soap with wax paper, scraps of burlap, and green jute.
Stamp words directly onto tag. Adorn with philosophy tag, and attach to wire basket with green jute.
For an added bonus, add a pair of essential oils.
Lastly, artfully arrange all contents into the large gathering basket.
