Chamomile Fields Necklace

No reviews yet

I’ve been seeing pin after pin on Pinterest of dried flowers in resin, and I’ve been dying to try it out. For this project, I preserved dried chamomile in resin with one of our open-backed bezels. I also paired it with some rustic cording and macramé knotting to add a personal touch to the project. The triangle shape and use of chamomile also give the necklace a very modern feel.

Chamomile Fields Necklace Directions:

Tape the back of the triangle bezel with a piece of packing tape.

Mix a small bit of resin according to the instructions on the packaging.

Arrange a few sprigs of chamomile in the bezel, making sure that the fit inside the space of the bezel and don’t stick out the top.

Cover chamomile and fill entire bezel with the mixed resin. Allow to cure overnight.

Cut two lengths of Divine Twine, approximately 1 yard each. Fold each length in half and attach to the top of the bezel.

Knot a few inches from the bezel and add some macramé knots to the length of twine.

Spray twine with a combination of Frayed Burlap and Walnut Stain spray ink.

Note: Spray ink will rub off onto skin and clothing, even when dry. To avoid this, seal the entire length of twine with clear acrylic spray sealer, or opt for fabric dye instead.
