Wicked Witch Card Set Project
Halloween is my absolute, hands down, favorite creative time of the year (Thanksgiving and Christmas run a close second, respectively). Whether it’s sewing the costumes that my kids dream up, or making a new wreath for my door, I love to celebrate the spookiest time of the year by letting my imagination run wild.
Dina Wakley’s stamp set, All the Gals, is what inspired me to make these cards. When I came across the stamp collection, while going through my stamp drawers, I immediately thought to myself “these gals would make great witches!” Paired with some Halloween-themed collage sheets, my wicked witches were born.
Wicked Witch Card Set Tutorial
Making these cards is easy, and can be done in less than 10 minutes. You can add your own personal touches by changing up the details or sentiment.
To start, trim patterned paper, and glue it to a card base.
Next, tear the edges off of some black tissue paper, and glue it onto your cards.
While the glue is drying, stamp the gals onto cardstock with permanent ink and then carefully cut them out. You can apply additional ink and embellishments before you glue them onto your cards.
Pick some accessories and sentiments from collage sheets and cut them out. Apply ink, add tinsel as desired, and adhere to cards.
To finish, lightly ink the edges of your cards for a weathered appearance.
