Whether you’re decorating for a party or just adding some special touches to your home for spring, this prayer flag bunting can brighten up any space. With vintage details, this garland is rustic and ready to be hung up in just a few steps.
Spring Prayer Flag Bunting Project Directions
First, soak tea filters in coffee for about 15-30 minutes. Remove, and let dry.
Stamp images from Dina Wakley’s woodcut stamps onto vintage book text with permanent ink.
Paint the background of each image with Ken Oliver’s Color Bursts. Let dry.
Mount the stamped images onto a larger sheet of book text, gluing with gel medium.
Glue the mounted images to the tea bags with a thin layer of gel medium, and let dry completely.
Machine stitch around the stamped image.
Fold the top flap of the tea bag, and machine stitch closed. Leave just enough of an opening to thread with twine to hang.
