Black, Kraft and Read All Over Packaging
It’s no secret that I love wrapping gifts. I firmly believe that any present becomes extra special when it’s packaged in a beautiful way. Something as simple as a candle, or in this case, bars of handmade soap, is instantly elevated.
Perhaps it’s because fall is coming that I’ve been drawn to using rich browns and black in my projects, so when it came time to wrap some soaps for a friend, I knew exactly what I wanted to use. I gathered up some paper-bag scraps I had on hand and got to work. First, I cut the paper bags into the appropriate size for the soaps and wrapped each one as you would any gift. For a couple of the soaps, I cut a strip of paper bag and wrapped it around the shape. Next, I wrapped a length of twine around each bar of soap several times, knotting it to secure. To finish, I attached a cut-out heart to the twine with a mini-clothespin.
Tip: This would be a great way to wrap party favors. Imagine how great they’d all look grouped together on a festive table.
