Little Love Notes Project
Growing up, I always looked forward to the night my siblings and I would crowd around the dinner table to write out Valentine’s to give to our classmates. Though we begged our mom to let us choose cards with our latest favorite cartoon characters, we always made sure to add a little doodle or glitter to the envelopes to make them extra special.
Years later, I still love making little cards or tags for Valentine’s Day, though my animated friends no longer appear on them. This year, my book club is meeting the day after Valentine’s Day, so we’re going to have a little “Galentine’s” celebration. I’ve decided to give each woman a book from my collection that has been picked just for them. When it came time to make a tag to go with each package, I knew right away I wanted to use the Montage Collage Layer Frames, as they’re so romantic and feminine, and I just had to include one of the darling heart charms.
To create your own tags, cut a scrap of paper bag and adhere it behind the frame. Use washi tape to secure dried flowers to the paper background. Punch a hole at the top and bottom of the frame. Assemble a heart charm, and tie it to the bottom of the frame. Tear a piece of fabric, thread it through the hole in the top of the frame, and tie it to your gift.
