Life was Meant for a Great Adventure Project

No reviews yet

Growing up in California, I always dreamed of winter wonderlands. We would visit my grandfather in Ohio and we would romp in the snow for hours. With our cheeks red and our fingers blue, we would still refuse to come inside for dinner.

Have you ever noticed how the world seems bigger when it snows? An empty field that seemed barren in the summer now appears as an expansive spread of delicate white powder. I remember climbing up the hill by my grandfather’s house and looking out at all the world draped in winter splendor. This snowy scene is reminiscent of those treks where I could look out and see the entire world, spread before me like miles and miles of fresh linen.

Life was Meant for a Great Adventure Project Directions:

Paint a piece of recycled wood with Dina Wakley’s Night paint. Let dry completely.

Hold Dylusions’ White Linen ink spray approximately 3 feet from the surface and spray once. This will create your snowy backdrop.

Use gel medium to seal the bottom half of the canvas where the hillside will go. This will prevent the white texture paste from picking up the color behind it on the wood.

Spread texture paste across the bottom of the canvas, creating a hillside. Apply with a brush or your finger.

Draw in pine trees with a white gel pen.

Attach Tim Holtz Small Talk Stickers and outline with white gel pen.
