Glittering Eyes Art Journal Page

I was saving this piece of clip art for something special when I came across this quote by Roald Dahl inside Bella Grace:

“Above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places. Those who don’t believe in magic will never find it.”

That inspired me to create this art journal page inside an altered book, with just a touch of glitter to remind me to look for the greatest secrets in the most unlikely of places.

Glittering Eyes Art Journal Page Directions:

Mix Dina Wakley’s Sky paint with gel medium and cover entire spread, allowing the text from the altered book to show through.

Cut out clip art and adhere to one side of the page. Type your quote with a typewriter, trim, and attach to the other side of spread.

With only the smallest piece of the stencil, apply texture paste through Cluster of Lilies stencil.

While texture paste is still wet, sprinkle lightly with Iced Enamels Glitz Gold Relique Powder. Set with heat tool.

Scribble lines around clip art, stenciled flowers, and quote with blue and yellow Stabilo pencils. Blend with a water brush.
