Toil and Trouble Table Centerpiece Project
Begin by cutting out various papers from the Toil and Trouble paper kit to cover the boxes. Glue the papers on using Matte Collage Pauge and then paint a coat of Collage Pauge over the outside of the box to seal it. Put the boxes aside to dry. Paint the lids of each box with black acrylic paint and allow to dry. Once the paint has dried, paint over each box with Collage Pauge.
Create a grubby tag using walnut ink crystals, you can learn all about the grubby tag technique here. Cut out a piece of the green cardstock from the Toil and Trouble Kit and a piece of the lined paper from the kit. On the lined paper stamp the word "October" from the 7gypsies clear stamp set. Distress the edges of the green and the lined paper with the edge distressing tool and then ink the edges with black StazOn ink. Take a ticket from the Tim Holtz journaling ticket and distress the edges of it with the black StazOn. Glue all the pieces onto the tag as shown in the picture. Add various 7gypsies steampunk rubons to decorate the tag.
Once all the lids and bottoms of the boxes have dried and you have finished creating the tag, you can prepare the boxes to display! Stack them up and then careful wrap Hemp Rope and the nest of boxes like a gift. Since the boxes are round you may want to secure the rope at the bottom of the largest box so that it doesn’t slip off. Fill you boxes with gifts, Halloween treats and more!
