Somerset Halloween Banner Project
A festive, yet Somerset Halloween banner will add some elegance to your home this fall!
Start by spraying five canvas triangles with Sunset Orange color wash and then allow the pieces to dry. Using white thread on your sewing machine, sew a white, zigzag border on each triangle. Piece the banner together by sewing the top corners of each triangle to the next corner, but try not to overlap them too much. Next, sew a piece of black twine to the end of each side of the banner.
To embellish the front of the banner, use fabric glue and glue strips of the Stella Valenciennes along the top edge. I left the triangles bare (with the exception of the stitching, but you could add additional embellishments to the center of each triangle if desired. You could try the new Melissa Frances jewel brooches for a little extra elegance to blend in with the jewels on the Valencienne ribbons.
