Repurposed Wood Display Project
Creating unique home décor accents need not be expensive or difficult! I recently acquired a bunch of old wood boards that were originally used as shelves. For this project, I decided to repurpose one of these pieces into a decorative wall display that can hold pictures and other memorabilia.
To begin, decoupage old French text onto a wooden board using Matte Medium as the adhesive and sealer. Once the adhesive dries, add a strip of fabric tape along the bottom of the board and another strip of the same tape along the top area. Glue on the Jacobean Clothespins using Diamond Glaze Adhesive. I glued the clothespins over the top of the fabric tape.
Add vintage photographs, current photographs, greeting cards, and other elements of interest to your display! You can attach wire on either side or simply add a bracket or hook to the back of your display to hang it. Alternatively, you can rest it on a side table or bookcase if you do not wish to mount it.
