UPC:

Begin with the 5"x7" chipboard book by GCD Studios. Fill a mini spray bottleand spray the cover lightly with water. Using the Peacock lower case stamp the word "pure" on the bottom right corner. Use the scalloped edged stamp to stamp the upper right edge. Paint the cover with Moss acrylic paint and allow to dry. To speed up the drying process you can use a heat tool. Create a mixture of Bark acrylic paint and Mod Podge.

Paint the mixture over the cover and then use a slightly damp cloth to wipe over the cover gently, this will reveal the green paint underneath and create the "faux leather" appearance, leaving the debossed/stamped areas brown. This will create the "faux leather" appearance and leave the debossed/stamped areas brown. Allow to dry. You could again speed up the drying process using a heat tool if you like. Use the same technique to decorate the back cover. Cut down white cardstock to the same size as the covers and punch holes in the bind.

Use brown seam binding ribbon and thread it through the holes to bind the book. Attach the Tuscan Rose clip art image to the cover. Use an off white colored rubber band from the Reef Journal Rubber Band collection and with Brown StazOn Ink stamp the three button images from the Character Constructions stamp set onto the rubber band. Pull the rubber band over the journal to keep it closed artistically.
