Loteria Pockets Project
By Mona Gettmann
Trim off the top and bottom edges of Loteria Set (5LALOTTERIA) cards. Cut Loteria cards in half horizontally. Using a stylus, score the trimmed panels vertically along the outside panels. Using masking technique, stamp the edges and between the panels with a border image from Mexican Symbols Stamp Kit. Heat set ink. Using masking technique again, sponge red ink along the edges and between the panels. Repeat the same steps with the other trimmed Loteria cards. Fold the outside panels to the center and attach together with decorative border stickers. Seal the bottom edge of the pockets with border stickers. Using Oval Super Giant Punch, punch a semi-circle in the top edge of the pockets. Slide the prepared cards into the pockets. Computer-generate Spanish text on yellow vellum. Tear the edges along the text. Attach the torn edge text strips to each pocket with Vellum Adhesive (5JV-005). Slip the coordinating prepared card stacks into the pockets.
