I Am Never Broken Project by Lucy Hill Edson
Lucy was inspired by the lyrics from the song "Hands" by Jewel and a challenge from the "Scrapping the Music" blog (www.scrappingthemusic.blogspot.com). She created a journal page using the lyrics and accenting the parts she was most moved by. First collage the torn book pages on to watercolor paper using a soft gel medium. When the gel medium has dried, paint with a mixture of Golden Fluid Acrylics. Then stamp with a foam stamp and gesso onto the background. Add handwritten journaling to the background with a red pen or gel pen. When journaling, you can enlarge and outline areas that you want to accent. Collage the cut fabric pieces and photos onto the lower corner and add any additional embellishments. Lucy used some heart embellishments and some Prima Marketing crystal swirls.
