Grungy Girl Cards
By Vanessa Spencer
What I loved most about creating this project was that I got to use various products by some of my favorite artists: the new Garden Grunge stamps by Dina Wakley, the circle stamp by Claudine Hellmuth, and She Art papers and clip art by Christy Tomlinson. To begin, I roughly painted some plain white cards (5DW-CARDWHT - DISCONTINUED) with blue acrylic paint (5EC-01031). Next I stamped the circle stamp design (5CSH28468) using red acrylic paint (5EC-01200 - DISCONTINUED). Tear some small strips of the She Art papers (5PIN-SA695 - DISCONTINUED), and glue onto each card. Ink up your favorite Garden Grunge stamps with black ink (5JBP28574 - DISCONTINUED), and stamp the designs onto each card. On the "She Was a Creative Soul" card I used the Grunge Growth (D1011) stamp together with Grunge Flowers (D1013) to create the row of three flowers. On the "She Lived a Happy Life" card I used the Collage Counting (D1016) stamp, and lastly, on the "She Decided to Leap" I used the Grunge Tree (D1018) and part of the design from Textured Scrawl (D1017). Cut out the various She Art clip art quotes (5PIN-SA698 - DISCONTINUED) and glue onto each card. The cards are very versatile, perfect for giving to a good friend or family member for any occasion.
