The cards from the Black Flora envelope set are just so pretty and artistic that I decided to use them to alter some kraft file folders. You can also utilize the leftover envelopes in the set for some pretty mail projects.
Start by roughly painting white gesso onto the front of some kraft file folders and allow it to dry. Using a straight stitch on your sewing machine, sew the Black Flora cards onto just the front of the folder (not the back), leaving the top edge of the Black Flora unstitched because you can then use that as an extra pocket.
Attach a piece of black paper tape to the folder to accent the black on the cards. Stamp the words "Letters" or "Receipts" onto the folder tabs using the A-B-Seas Stamp Set and black StazOn ink.
