Christmas Envelope Book Project by Audrey Hernandez
Lay envelopes out so that the flaps are up. Take a glue stick and glue each flap to the next envelope, so that the flap is adhered to the bottom (normally considered the front) of the next envelope. When all envelopes are attached, do valley folds where each envelope connects so that it folds into a little book. Glue the flap at the end shut to make the front cover.
Open the book so that all the envelope pockets are showing. Randomly add white acrylic paint to each envelope. Let dry. Stamp the wrought scroll onto each envelope using Blazing Red StazOn ink. Randomly tear sheet music into pieces and add a piece to each envelope. Glue faux postage or ephemera to each envelope. Then add some gold stickles to each envelope, smearing around with a popsicle stick. Cut out phrases from the "Tell Me Another Story" collage sheet and attach to each envelope.
When dry, cut two small slits on the last envelope: on the bottom and where the flap connects. Slide seam binding ribbon through the slits and wrap around the book to tie it close.
For the front cover, add a piece of white cardstock. Glue some sheet music to the bottom and stamp the wrought scroll rubberstamp once again in red ink. Add faux postage or ephemera to the bottom. Add some stickers to the top. Finish by tying book closed.
