Bonjour! Message In A Bottle Project
Capture a simple sentiment in this old-fashioned message in bottle for a creative way to communicate or personalize your message. I began decorating the box from the Message in a Bottle Kit with patterned paper from the Camden Collection by using a Matte Medium for the glue, which I also used to seal and protect the paper with by simply painting over it.
I removed the bubble wrap and used excelsior instead to give it a more natural look. You can find excelsior at most large craft stores. For the bottle, I rolled up my letter and tied it with a small piece of topaz ribbon, then carefully dropped the message into the bottle. Next, I stamped the "bonjour" greeting from Cavallini & Co.'s Paris Stamp Set onto a ticket, punched a hole in the ticket, and attached it to the neck of the bottle with more of the eye-catching ribbon.
Place the bottle inside of the box and close the lid. For a finishing touch, wrap a couple of layers of the Smoky Quartz Ribbon around the outside and tie it together to seal the box for a dramatic effect!
