Advent or Holiday Favor Tree Project

These mini matchbox cards are so easy to create! This project is a creative way to do an advent calendar or to display mini favors at a holiday party. Make as many of these as you need! Start with a brown colored cardstock and cut out a rectangle shape that is approximately 4½"x 2½". Fold the top edge down leaving about ½" inch at the bottom, this piece at the bottom you will fold back up so that it overlaps the piece you folded down, this will create the matchbox style look. Insert a brad close to bottom that goes through just the bottom flap and the back, this way you have a closure for the top piece to help keep it secure. Cut out images from the Chixies Winter Faux Postage Sheet and glue them onto pieces of patterned paper from the Snowflakes and Holly Collection. Glue those onto the matchboxes. Stamp various "postage" themed images from the Carte Postale acrylic stamp sheet using brown ink and acrylic blocks. Place the matchbox cards on a wire tree using the mini clips.
