Art Doll Quarterly Autumn 2013
Autumn’s just around the bend – which means it’s time for our annual Halloween issue full of witchy women, scary and not-so-scary ghosts, pumpkins, and more. The talented Lynne Perrella takes us on a journey through San Miguel de Allende in Mexico, and we reveal the results of our Santos Cage Doll challenge with inspiring work from our very own readers. Internationally known sculptor and ventriloquist maker Bill Nelson is the subject of our Doll Artist Profile. Bill’s one-of-a-kind figures can be found in the private collections of Demi Moore, Whoopi Goldberg, and David Copperfield! We also present work by the renowned E.J. Taylor, as well as up-and-coming doll artist, Edgar Shrum, Doreen Kassel, Jennie Hepler-Takens, Carly Smith, and others.
