Teeny Tiny Valentines Day Card Project
With a little washi tape, themed stamps, and lots of love, you can create these simple but sweet mixed-media Valentine’s Day cards. Tuck one in a bouquet of flowers, or hide one in a box of chocolates! These little cards are a darling way to add an extra special touch to any gift.
Teeny Tiny Valentine’s Day Cards Project Instructions:
To create your card, cut some cardstock to size — just be sure to make them a bit smaller than the mini paper bags.
On a scrap of cardstock, draw a heart. Turn the paper over, and layer with washi tape. When you’re done, cut the heart out.
Next, using the Vintage Love Notes stamp set by Cavallini & Co., stamp sentiments onto the card with permanent black ink.
Once the ink dries, wrap the card with patterned washi tape, and then layer a bit of vintage book text over the tape.
Hold the text in place, and then carefully pierce two holes through the text and the cardstock. Make sure that the holes are close enough together that you can use them to thread some jute trim and attach a button.
Thread the jute through the layers of paper and the button, and then tie in a knot to hold in place.
Next, position the washi tape heart and adhere it to the card with glue dots.
To give your mini paper bag a shabby-chic look, dry brush some white gesso onto its surface, and let dry.
Once the gesso dries, add a few stamped hearts and sentiments to the bag.
Finally, tuck your teeny card into the mini bag, and adorn with white mini clothespins.
