Pearls of Wisdom Bracelet Project by Sarah Donawerth
I love to mix pearls with unconventional materials. When I stumbled across this paint-splashed ribbon, I knew that I wanted to create a wrap bracelet that fused together the best of the creative and the classic. The end result is a bracelet that reminds us to "enjoy the journey" and mixes the different facets of the artistic experience.
Pearls of Wisdom Bracelet Project Directions:
Bend the metal word band to conform to the shape of your wrist.
With the double strand necklace, remove the clasp and extra chain, leaving the jump rings at either end. Set aside.
Remove the extra chain from the Rue Romantique pearl chain, but leave the lobster clasp at one end. Set aside.
Cut the paint-splashed ribbon to approximately 22 inches.
Cut 2 inches lengthwise into the ribbon at each end, pull one side of the split through the metal word band and double knot.
At the other end of the ribbon, pull one side of the split through the jump ring at the end of the double strand necklace and double knot.
Join the end of the double strand necklace with the end of the pearl chain with a jump ring, leaving the lobster clasp at the very end of this long strip.
To wear: Place the metal word band on top of your wrist, then wrap the long strand around your wrist on either side of the band, adjusting it as needed. When you reach the end of the strand, clip the lobster clasp at the end to the loop of the metal word band.
