A Nostalgic Summer Journal
Unlike the summers of our youth, when the days stretched out before us and felt endless, this time of year can feel fleeting as an adult. With our days full of responsibilities, we have so little free time to embrace and enjoy the feeling of freedom we once felt, and before we know it, the air will begin to get chilly, and fall will once again be here.
This summer, many people, me included, are trying to recapture the joy we felt as children by having a season of nostalgia. A summer full of popsicles, staying outside from sun-up to sun-down, meals cooked on the grill, and more. And as I embrace this time of year, I want to take note of all the simple joys that put a smile on my face, so I decided to alter a notebook that’s small enough to throw in my beach bag or even put in my pocket. I thought these vintage-inspired tags and papers would be perfect for capturing that nostalgic feeling.
First, rub the cover of the journal with a brown inkpad. Cut a strip of the green patterned paper and add a light wash of white acrylic paint as well as some stamping. Layer various paper scraps and use a stapler to attach them to the journal cover. Cut a small strip of patterned paper and use this to hold a small bundle of dried flowers in place. Cut a small piece from a collage strip, and layer this with a tag and cut-out sentiment, and attach to the cover with a stapler.

Our subscriptions ship directly from our printer in Wisconsin. For this reason, we need to be notified of your change of address at least two months before the next issue comes out, or it will be sent to the address we had on file and provided to our printer at the time it was due.
How to Notify Us About Your Change of Address
- Email the following to customerservice@stampington.com:
- The publication(s) you subscribe to
- Your name and new address
- Your old address

Mail Forwarded by the Post Office
If you forward mail to your new address through the Post Office, it won't apply to periodicals/your magazine subscription unfortunately. Also, since mail forwarding only lasts for a short time-frame, we request that you still notify us of your address change to prevent any service interruption to your subscription.
Stampington & Company cannot be held responsible for replacing "lost" issues from your subscription, if we did not receive your change of address request at least two months prior to your next issue's release date.
Subscription issues should arrive within the first week of the month your publication is released. Please add up to two weeks for international delivery.
If your magazine has not arrived by the 20th of the month, please contact our customer service department, so we can check to make sure nothing is amiss with your subscription, and see if you're eligible for a replacement copy. International subscribers can receive a digital version of the magazine as a replacement if one attempt has already been made to deliver the print edition to you.
