Washi Paper Bezel Journal Wraps

Exploring the many ways to use bezels can be as simple as wrapping one around a journal with some pretty ribbon. This project would make a great gift for an artistic friend; they will be receiving a new journal and a pretty piece of jewelry, all in one! Experiment with different patterned papers, and make several bezels all at once in order to have some on hand the next time you need a quick and easy gift.

Washi Paper Bezel Journal Wraps Tutorial:

To make this bezel-wrapped journal, start by applying gesso to the cover of a plain corrugated kraft journal, and set it aside to dry.

Next, cut patterned washi paper to fit inside your bezel, and adhere. Add chitchat word stickers, and then coat the inside of the bezel generously with gel medium in order to seal.

Once the gel medium has dried, mix Ice Resin according to package instructions, and pour into the bezel.

Let the bezel cure overnight, and then attach to your journal with a piece of coordinating ribbon.
