Steampunk Temptress Layered Canvas Project

This project has incorporated all of my favorite things — sheet music, book text, pen nibs, gears, antique vibes, and more! I love how a little bit of ink around the edges of a book page can create a defined shape that provides striking contrast to the music behind it.

Steampunk Temptress Layered Canvas Directions:

Using a blending tool, color a piece of watercolor paper or cardstock with Antique Linen ink. Stamp Temptress image onto the cardstock with Walnut Stain ink.

Cut strips of vintage book text. With Walnut Stain ink, use a blending tool to add some ink to each edge of the book text and the stamped cardstock. Then run the inkpad along the edges to give a more defined border.

Layer the ticket, journaling cards, and book strips on top of an antique piece of mounted sheet music and adhere with gel medium. Attach the stamped image to the top.

Attach gears, sprockets, and pen nibs with hot glue. Attach a typed token to one of the sprockets with a small brad and glue to the upper corner of the stamped image.
