Project Life Calendar Project
The American Crafts Project Life Jade cards fit perfectly into the medium sized basket from the Gathering Eggs Wire Basket Set. I thought they would be a quick and easy (but still colorful and artistic) way to create a journal calendar, similar to the Daily Calendar Journal Project.
Using the Life Months and Life Shapes stencils and various colors of acrylic paint, stencil designs straight onto the larger Project life cards. On some of the smaller cards, stencil the months and then allow the pieces to dry.
Once all the cards are dry, use the month stencils (on the smaller cards) to create tabs for each month and staple them to the larger cards using the Tim Holtz Idea-ology Tiny Attacher.
*Creative idea: You can also staple additional pieces of ephemera to the cards. If you venture to the movies or travel during the year, staple the move ticket or a piece of ephemera from your vacation to the cards.
On the 12 monthly index cards, add any additional artistic elements as you like. I added a few stamped designs on various cards for an interesting mixed-media effect. At the end of the year, use you Journal cards and add them to a Project Life album, along with your favorite pictures.
