M'Lady's Delights by Cher B. Lashley
Gather together supplies that you feel would add a touch of elegance to Creative Imagination’s Bare Element Shelly Octagonal Jewelry Case. You don’t have to use them all, just find a color or theme that seems to be prevalent in your gathered pieces and go from there. Or you can use what we have used along with the instructions that follow.
Outside of the case:
All papers used are from Seven Gypsies Hudson Valley Collection 6X6 paper pad. Using three pieces of the blue motif paper, adhere to the bottom section of the case, trimming as necessary. Cut strips from the brown and cream design and adhere to the top section of the case in the same manner. Ink edges all around using a Krylon Gold Metallic Marker.
Cut a blank ornate sticker label from Creative Imagination’s Karen Russell Narrative Antique Cream and Black collection in half and apply one piece to either side of the central area of the doors that open the case. Die cut a black and red butterfly from Mary Mata’s French Red II Collage Sheet, dry emboss, then, position and glue the body using Sakura’s Pinpoint Roller Quickie Glue right next to left door opening so that the right wing is across the right door.
Inside of the case:
Using the stripe paper from the Hudson Valley Collection. Adhere to the background sizing and trimming as necessary. Choosing four motifs, one for each drawer, cut strips to encircle and glue in place.
Attach fabric tape or twill tape to the top of inside each drawer. Punch out four labels from Daisy D’s Remember Journaling Tags Die-Cuts and stamp each one with a ‘girlie’ image of your choice: we used Anna Griffin’s stamps here. Glue one to the bottom of each drawer. Die cut red French postage stamps from the Mary Mata Red French 2 Collage Sheet and adhere one over the edge of each label using the Sakura rolling glue pen to attach.
Lid:
Cut strips of the blue motif paper from the Hudson Valley Collection and attach to the rim of the lid trimming as necessary. Turn the lid upside down and trace the octagonal onto the back of a piece of the brown and cream design paper and cut out: adhere to the top of the lid. Outline top rim of lid with a Krylon Gold Metallic Marker. Punch out the line work sticker from the Antique Cream and Black collection and apply to the bottom section of the rim of the lid. Fill in any gaps with the other line work provided on the sticker sheet. Using red paint or marker, ink the bottom edge all around. Cut out another octagonal from the red chintz design paper to adhere to the inside of the lid. Stamp another label from the Remember Journaling Tags , edge in gold marker and attach to inside lid: embellish with another red French stamp outlined in black ink.
