Mixed-Media Mica Project by Johanna Love
Mica is too gorgeous of a material to leave in a drawer in your craft room. Adorn your house with this luxurious looking craft supply to enjoy year-round.
Mixed-Media Mica Project Directions:
Stamp a word onto Vintaj blank.
Paint a found feather blue, and let dry.
Paint a blue deer face onto a large piece of mica. Paint wooden antlers grey and stamp onto mica sheet.
Stamp word onto a round blank using steel letter stamps, and anvil, and a hammer. Paint over the stamped word with grey acrylic paint. Rub away excess paint, and let dry.
Brush glue onto desired spots, and then sprinkle mica flakes onto each ornament.
Once glue is dry, wrap twine around feather as desired, and use a nail to poke a hole through the mica sheet and string together the mica, metal blank, and decorative bead.
