Instantly Inspired Journal Project
I couldn’t wait to get my hands on the new set of Art Pops cards once they arrived in our offices. Their fun and vibrant colors first attracted me, and I knew immediately that I needed to create a spring-inspired journal for the coming months. A bit of Art Pops mixed together with Project Life cards, and a Pam Carriker stamp makes for one inspiring journal.
Instantly Inspired Journal s Project Directions:
Start by applying white gesso to the cover of a corrugated kraft journal, and then set it aside to dry.
Stamp Lady Macbeth with permanent black ink and cut out.
Mount face on an Art Pops card, and glue in place using gel medium.
Cut a decorative strip of paper from a Project Life card, and glue to the back of the Pop Art card.
Glue layered pieces to the journal cover with gel medium.
To embellish your journal, attach a metal word band onto the cover using fastener brads. Finally, tie some Berry Jute Trim around the journal and finish it off with a knot.
