How to Seal PanPastels using Gel Medium and a Gelli Plate by Carolyn Dube
Watch how mixed-media artist Carolyn Dube uses gel medium and a Gelli Plate to seal PanPastels.
Techniques Featured in this Video:
Create a background using the “Use Your Words” stencil.
Apply PanPastels using a makeup sponge through the stencil.
Fill the space in coordinating colors.
Use packaging tape to clear your Gelli Plate, removing any excess paint residue.
Apply a bit of gel medium onto the Gelli Plate, and spread using a brayer.
Place the stenciled sheet of paper onto the Gelli Plate, and lightly rub the entire surface of the paper.
Remove the paper from the Gelli Plate, and let dry.
Cut a border around the image, and adhere to a larger sheet of white paper.
