This creative canvas piece by guest artist Christy Tomlinson is sure to inspire your inner artist. With Christy’s new line of She Art products you can create fresh and fun pieces of art; the products feature colorful, whimsical designs that will brighten up your projects.
Begin with a small square ready-to-alter canvas or the surface of your choice. If the canvas you are using isn’t primed, then prime it with a coat of gesso. Paint your background a sky blue using acrylic paints. Once the blue has dried, paint the bottom half of the canvas with green acrylic paint. Use just one shade of green for a basic finish or multiple shades of green for a more creative look. You can create your own unique shades of green by mixing paints, or select from the various shades of green available in our acrylic paints collection by Eco Green Crafts.
With adhesive, attach the various Doll Bits and Pieces to the canvas. The pieces Christy used on hers include the house, sun, flowers, bird and the text "She was true."
Use the large scalloped rub on design from the doodle art stitches pack for the stems on the flowers, and then add additional art stitches rubons and some artsy texture rubons to the canvas to add some more interest and texture.
