Shabby Chic Favor Tins Project
Begin by giving the tins a light sanding with sandpaper. This scratchy surface with allow paint to adhere better. Paint the outside of the tins with pink acrylic paint and allow to dry. Then paint roughly over some of the pink with crackle paint and set to dry. Applying a thin coat of paint will allow for faster drying. To avoid the paints chipping off, cover the outside with a thin coat of collage pauge to seal and protect it.
Add some small torn strips of vintage French book text to the lid. Layer over some shabby ribbons and secure a button in the middle of the ribbon. Cut out your favorite clip art words and adhere them to the lids. Place some white tissue inside the tins, and then fill with treats.
