Quick and Easy Accessory Gifts Project
These flower embellishments from BasicGrey are not just for paper crafting - they are perfect for creating quick and easy wearables. Whether it’s a barrette or clip for your hair or a brooch, the girls on your list this year will be delighted to receive these lovelies!
I used the larger “delicious” BasicGrey flowers, but the smaller flowers also make great accessories. Use a strong adhesive to glue the clips or brooch backs onto the backs of the flowers. I used a hot glue gun with glue that is specifically for gluing fabric to metal. Allow the glue to dry and that’s all there is to it!
For the cuffs I simply did a zig-zag stitch using brown thread along a piece of elastic. Then I sprayed the elastic with Adirondack Color Wash and allowed the elastic to dry. Next, simply stitch the ends of the elastic onto the flower. If you want your flower to be a color other than the three colors available, just spray one of the white flowers with your favorite Adirondack Color Wash.
To be extra creative, try packaging the gifts in a glassine sleeve and then seal the sleeve closed with some washi tape.
