Perfectly Painted Pumpkins Project
Begin by painting the paper mache pumpkins with grey acrylic paint, and allow to dry. Using the gourd acrylic paint, paint decorative designs onto the pumpkins as desired. For the polka dot design I used a round blending brush to stamp the circles. Once the circles are dry, take a lengthy piece of yellow baker’s twine and wrap it all the way around the pumpkin in the grooves, and secure it on top with a knot. Tie a piece of eggshell seam binding ribbon through the top in a bow.
For the second pumpkin, I used a regular paint brush to paint lines in the grooves with the gourde acrylic paint. Once the paint dried, I tied a piece of seam binding around the outside of the pumpkin in a bow.
