Natural History Project
This nature-themed found object box is an elegant, feminine way to store unique found items. Shells, rocks, and even insects can be stored in these little boxes.
Start by painting the outside box's framewith a light coat of white paint. This will leave some of the paper mache color visible, giving the box a distressed look. Repeat with green paint on the smaller boxes and lids. To achieve the green hue I used, mix a little bit of white paint into the green paint. Set all the pieces aside to dry thoroughly.
Using the 7gypsies Natural History rubbings, rub images and words onto the front of each box. Fill the boxes with natural-colored excelsior and add your favorite found objects.
