Love Lives Here Project by Kristen Robinson
Valentine’s Day is of course one of my favorite holidays. Full of romance and delights, it is a special day not only full of iconic charm, but moments to share our feelings with those we love. To say I am truly addicted to these charming wee houses by Stampington is an understatement; and while I am using them in a Valentine project here, I envision a great many other applications for them as well. Gather up a few supplies, and create this charming project that is sure to warm not only your home, but also the hearts of those you love.
Tips:
- A quick easy way to create polka dots is to use the end of a small paintbrush handle.

Love House:
Begin by painting the house with White Acrylic Paint. Once this has dried add a layer of Sand Acrylic Paint, wipe away the excess paint prior to it drying. Once the paint has dried, place a strip of red and white fabric tape across the bottom of the house. To the top of the house, place red polka dots with red acrylic paint.
With a large scallop punch create a background using polka dot paper. Using the smaller punch and the crepe paper punch a smaller shape. Glue the smaller scalloped circle to the larger. To the top of the crepe paper glue a polka dot heart. Cut a smaller heart out of red cardstock and glue this to the top of the larger heart. To the perimeter of the large scallop, glue silver glass glitter. Once the glitter has dried, adhere the scalloped shape to the front and center of the house.
Glue one small button to the bottom right hand side of the house and add the word "love" to the bottom left side.

To the top sides of the house, glue two strips of sheet music that has been cut with either scalloped scissors or a scallop blade on a paper trimmer. Cut a small piece of crème burlap as well as a smaller piece of red felt, and glue the felt to the top of the burlap. Glue this fabric stack to the front of the house.
To the top of the fabric, glue the word "lives." Secure a button to the top of the fabric stack to finish this house.
Here House:
As you did with the previous two houses, paint the wood and let dry. To the top sides of the house, adhere red fabric tape. To the center of the tape (at the peak of the roof) glue one small heart. Under the heart glue three small buttons.
Either punch out or cut a heart using sheet music. From the red felt, cut a wee heart and glue to the top of the sheet music heart. Glue this to the front center of the house. To the bottom front of the house, glue a strip of sheet music, then glue the word “here” to the bottom left-hand corner. For the final step, place polka dots around the perimeter of the heart.
