Joyeux Noel Project by Shannon Sawyer
Create a little Christmas "To Do" list journal just like guest artist Shannon Sawyer. The small moleskine journals are the perfect size for mini lists and note taking.
On white cardstock, stamp the Tree Topper small stamp or alternatively the Tree Topper large stamp and the individual letters to spell “joyuex noel” from the Fanciful Outline Lowercase Alphabet set with black ink. Cut out the tree topper image and the individual letters. Color in the tree top image with a red marker.
With a patterned holiday paper, cut out some small banner shaped images that are just a little bigger than the joyeux noel letters. Depending on the paper used, you may want to ink the edges of the banner pieces with red and green ink.
On the cover of the moleskine journal, doodle a border around the edge of the journal with a black pen. Using glue dots, glue two pieces of peppermint bakers twine onto the journal and then glue all the mini banner pieces over the twine. Glue onto each banner piece the stamped letter pieces to spell out joyeux noel.
On the ends of the banner attach a mini red clothespin with glue dots. Add a small piece of handwritten text to the bottom right corner of the journal.
