Home Sweet Home Box Project
Start by painting the Paper Mache House Box with white gesso, or alternatively white acrylic paint. Once the paint has dried, spritz over the white gesso (on the bottom section) with teal blue Dylusions Ink Spray. While that is drying you can embellish the roof.
On the ends of the roof, cover entirely with strips of red flower patterned washi tape. Then glue pieces of vintage French text on the sides. Add a whimsical sun die-cut to the corner. Add the scallop design (which is a She Art Rub-On) on the edges.
Stamp various flower and bird images from the How Does Your Garden Grow stamp set (using black ink and an acrylic block) on the bottom edges of the house.
I embellished the house with a door, windows and the “Home Sweet Home” quote. Just simply cut out the vintage text pieces for the window and doors and glue onto the house. I added some random pieces of Foreign Newspaper washi and some Notebook Paper washi over the text. Then I added some more of the She Art Rub-Ons to create an outline around the door and also over the windows to create the four sections. Attach the Home Sweet Home washi over the same vintage text and cut out the words, then glue the pieces onto the house.
Use the box to hold a housewarming gift, or to store some fun odds and ends in your home.
