Found Object Sandwich Project by Thomas Mann
This Found Object Sandwich project was created by Thomas Mann using the FOS kit. Before you start creating your own Found Object Sandwich, put together a collection of your favorite unique ephemera. Family treasures and flea market finds are great! You can use real family pictures or collage sheet images-whatever inspires you!
Thomas Mann cleverly displayed the finished sandwich project inside an altered cigar box. The lid of the cigar box has a section cut out in the shape of a rectangle with a sheet of acrylic covering the cut out section. The edges of the acrylic sheet have a decorative finish-similar to the edges of a postage stamp. To cut the edges of the acrylic, try using the jewelers saw. On the inside of the cigar box a wood block was attached to the center and then a sheet of metal was attached on top of the wood. The metal sheet was then spray painted red. When the Found object sandwich is completed-you can attach a magnet to the back of and then use it as a magnet on the red metal sheet.
