Festive Ornaments Project
Creating your very own holiday ornaments is so easy! Start with round clear glass ornaments, you can purchase these at most discount or craft stores seasonally. Remove the top silver part of the ornament. Use green alcohol ink and squirt it inside the ball then squirt a small amount of the blending solution. Swish it gently around so that the entire inside of the ball is green, let any excess drop out into a disposable cup or bowl. To decorate the outside you will need a few different adhesives and red glitter. I will list the techniques and various adhesives below:
Playful Polka Dots:
For the polka dot look you can use glue dots but just be very careful when pressing them onto the glass so that you don’t break the glass. Shake some red glitter onto the dots and shake off the excess. Another option for the polka dots is just dipping the eraser on the end of a pencil into some Collage Pauge and then stamping onto the glass and adding the glitter.
Simple Strips:
To create the simple strip you will need a double sided adhesive tape for a really clean look. The trio dispenser is great double-sided adhesive tape because it comes with 3 different sizes of tape in a professional applicator and each of the three rolls contains 800 inches of tape. If you don’t have double-sided tape then an alternative option is using a paintbrush with Collage Pauge and carefully painting a strip around the ornament. Shake some red glitter onto the dots and shake off the excess.
Charmed Circles:
Use the Art Glitter glue or the Tac Clear Glue and randomly paint circles, connecting them to create the ring around the ornament. Shake some red glitter onto the dots and shake off the excess.
