Enjoy the Simple Things Project
I have wanted to use the She Art tissue paper for some time; the cute little dresses have so much potential! I decided to create a mini clothesline and use the Paper Mache Tri-fold House as the backdrop. What I ended up with: a fun project to display in a little girls room, an art studio, or why not the laundry room?
Start by painting the paper mache housewith gesso and allow to dry. Once the gesso has dried, rub blue crayon over the middle section of the house and use a tissue or paper towel to blend it. I wanted the blue to look like a sky backdrop for the clothesline.
Cut out various dresses from the She Art Collage Tissue and mount them onto white paper. Cut out the images again, leaving a thin border of white.
Tear or cut small pieces of various polka dot and striped washi tapes and attach them to the dresses. Using the mini white clothespins, and hang each dress onto a piece of black twine. Attach the line to the house with glue dots or a liquid adhesive.
Decorate the roof of each three house sections with the coordinating washi tape used on the dresses. Cut out your favorite quotes, mount them onto scrap pieces of the leftover tissue paper, and then glue them onto the top section of each house.
