Custom Chalkboard and Kraft Paper Gift Wrap by Christen Olivarez
It’s no secret that chalkboard-style anything is one of the hottest trends right now. When we began selling this Black Chalkboard Kraft Wrapping Paper, I knew I’d be using it to package my holiday gifts this year. Because I like to have a couple colors under my tree, I also picked up a roll of the regular Kraft Wrapping Paper, as I thought the pairing would be gorgeous. Our Christmas tree is decorated in primarily red and black, so I decided to use red as an accent color on the gifts.
Giving presents a stylish presentation couldn’t be simpler. You can wrap a gift in the black or Kraft paper, and then doodle or stamp on it, and tie it with a coordinating ribbon or scrap of fabric. Chalkboard markers work fantastic on the black paper. Either color of paper looks great when combined with a strip of vintage sheet music. A glittered red star makes the perfect embellishment.
What I really like about this paper is that there is a lot on a roll, and it’s sturdy. Some manufactured wrapping paper creases and wrinkles easily; this isn’t the case with this paper. It’s very forgiving, even for someone like me, who isn’t the greatest at wrapping presents.
Once you’re done wrapping gifts, you can use what’s left of the paper to make a great table runner for your holiday party. Guests can write holiday wishes on it, or you can label the different food you’re serving. The possibilities are endless.
