Creative Tote and Coordinating Journal Project

Use this fun tote to carry some daily essentials or present it as a gift bag to loved ones! It’s sew easy to create and can be completed in almost no time. To begin, paint red or pink acrylic paints over some Claudine Hellmuth canvas sheets. Then stamp the words "Soar" and "Love" onto the canvas sheets using the clearly impressed scratched alphabet and black StazOn ink. Cut the words out, and then sew them onto the screenprinted canvas sheets using a white thread and zig zag stitch.
Create a handle for the tote with a strip of muslin, sewing a red zigzag stitch down the middle of the strips. Sew the two screenpritned canvas sheets together with a red zig zag stitch, and sew/secure the handle into the top sides of the bag. Create a coordinating notebook to slip inside the gift bag by altering the cover of an extra large Kraft moleskine. Cut out a section of the screenprinted canvas sheets to fit the cover.
Stamp the coordinating words directly onto the canvas sheets. Glue the sheets onto the covers, or alternatively stitch them to match the stitching on the bag! Slip the books inside the tote and you’ll have an artful bag complete with coordinating journals for yourself or a creative friend!
