Celebrate Gift Box Project
This is a great DIY "green" project! Instead of buying expensive gift-wrap, bags and boxes, just make your own using recycled items. I began with an empty shoe box. Using all the art papers I had created in our stamping how-to video I tore them up - tearing larger pieces for the bottom half of the box and for the top I tore them up a little smaller. You can see all the instructions for making your own art papers by looking at the how-to video.
To decorate the papers I used Glimmer Mist, bubble wrap that I used to stamp with acrylic paint, and Gesso. Use the heavy gelas your adhesive and once the papers are glued to the box and dry, taking the sanding tool and sand of all edges and corners to clean them up. Use any kind of sealer or a soft gel to paint over the entire box. Once that has dried, paint the word "Celebrate" using a fine paintbrush and black acrylic paint. You can use the gift box to give a gift for any holiday or celebration!
